6月23日上午9点，英国正版365官网有幸邀请到了克里特大学数学系Spyros Kamvissis教授在英国正版365官网报告厅做了题为“Nonlinear steepest descent and semiclassical analysis of the focusing nonlinear Schrodinger equation”的学术报告。我校“211工程”与学科建设处处长、英国正版365官网教授姚若侠，西北工业大学有关师生、以及英国正版365官网部分教师与各级硕士、博士研究生听取了本次报告。报告由姚若侠主持。

 Spyros Kamvissis教授围绕主题，主要利用Stationary phase思想去解决Riemann-Hilbert problem和一个非线性可积方程，针对stationary-phase idea和steepest-descent idea之间给出了不同看法，侧重点在某些问题的steepest descent contours上。

 Spyros Kamvissis将Lax operator分为self-adjoint和non-self-adjoint两部分，将defocusing/focusing nonliner Schr?dinger equation作为研究的模型，通过对模型的讲解，分析来提出Riemann-Hilbert problem的精确解形式。

    报告最后，针对师生提出的问题，Spyros Kamvissis教授进行了细致的讲解，对大家在研究方面有了很大启发。
